Hi there people.
Remember i went for this malaysia backpacking trip?
I was sickkkkk before the trip and i swear the feeling is very damn lousy.
With the worst sinus ever. You can imagine i was feeling so sick like a sick cat.
I almost, ALMOST, back out from the trip as i was running a high fever :/
To be very honest, i forgot majority of the happenings during the trip already.
But i have bits and pieces of memories here and there.
Let me blog about it. (:
Some pictures are really jumbled up, and i cant drag them properly.
But i'll try to add in captions for the pictures :D
Throughout this trip, i felt very well-taken care of most of the time.
I was considered one of the youngest.
And, obviously the smallest size among the Singapore and Malaysian contingent,
so everyone took care of me HAHAHAH.
And, the best thing about the trip was,
though it was a backpacking trip,
most of the time, my heavy backpack wasn't carried by myself, ahahhaahhaahahaa!
I felt bad actuallly,
I wanna thank everyone if i have the chance :D
=====
On the first day, we were supposed to gather at toa payoh HDB hub at 5am.
Goodnesssss. I still remembered vividly that i finished packing only at about 3am or so.
Get changed into our national attire and we hurry went out as the coach reached alrdy.
I think we had the coolest group photo ever, hahahaha!
We stood almost in the middle of the road and took pictures!
When there were vehicles or taxis that drove by, we would wave and shouttttttttttttttttt.
And smile again for the next picture to be taken, ahahahah!
That's the full singapore contingent lining up for the picture! Excluding Jasmine, our photographer for the trip! :DAfter which, after a tormenting+very giddy+bumpy 6hours ride,
we finally reached Serdang!
Serdang is a part of Malaysia near KL i think,
We arrived at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park.
Hahaha, it wasn't a park.
It seems like a convention centre, a mini one i think, ;P
Woah we were warmly welcomed by the malaysians,
but to me, i felt a little intimidated because they were too,
helpful and, idk how to describe. HAHAHA.
We had our welcoming speech, camp briefing and icebreaking session.
It was a different experience because you learn how people there work and response to sudden changes.
They were the malaysians, our mere neighbours across the borders. (:
We had this buffet lunch. I had to abstrain from the chilli and stuff because of my very bad sore throat.
Thanks to eileen for controlling me most of the time.
And every few hours, she will come to me with mineral water and say.
"Minyeeeeeeeeeee, eat your medicine!" HAHAHA.
And when i see Kheng Leng, she will ask me, "Girl ah, Strepsils for you?"
HAHAHA, i am guilty of finishing almost all the strepsils in the first aid box ahahaah! :P
That's nurul and chewy there :D
Thats our contingent leader Nabil!
Everybody's waiting for the ceremony to start (:
And and beside nabil is Daniel! :D
After everything, we departed for another 3 hours journey to Trolak Resort in Sungkai, Perak.
I think thats the best accomodation throughout the whole trip!
I tell you, the bus ride was horrible.
Thank goodness i was sitting beside Sherri!
I suddenly had a damnnnnnnn bloooooody boiling and high fever.
It shot up till damn high.
The medic was in another bus and everyone else was sleeping.
She took out all her wet tissues for me to put on my forehead one by one.
And when all tissues were used, she used water and wet the tissue and air it to make it cold,
and put it on my forehead again.
That temperature was somewhere near 40degree. i think its the highest temp i ever had. HAHA.
Upon reaching, they paired us up with our malaysia buddy.
She knew i was feeling damn unwell, she was super patient with me.
But, i admit that i have a little problem because i still feel the, awkward-ness of staying with a single malay malaysian in a single room. Its what i meant by a culture shock, really.
After putting my stuff in the room, my temperature was till crazy.
Kartini sent me to the hospital like immediately.
Omggggggggg. i texted my mum and boy that i was admitted to the hospital,
and they were super worrrrried gosh :X
And you know what, their Emergency room is scaryyyyyyyyy, too open!
I saw people operating right beside me, 2 beds away. ARGH.
Alright, these were the medicines that im supposed to take and im discharged after admitting for a few hours(:
Pale and still weak and drowsy from the heavy doses of medicine, i went back to join them in dinner hahaha.
I was complaining that my face looks big because im right in front :( :( :(
Last picture before we left trolak after our breakfast!
Im not gonna elaborate further the stay in trolak, (:
-------------------
Next, im gonna talk a little about the kampong stay! (:

Okay, this picture was taken when im kayaking with dali! (:
She's a nice girllllllll yayyyy and im so scared becos the river water was damn dirty.
The people there say there's crocodiles in the river? idk true anot, so scary :(
This was another picture. I forgot when was it taken! From Top left to right: Lai, Uncle Ben, Teck Chuan.
From Bottom left to right: Liying, huiyu, erica, and myself! :D
We were at this hot springgggg in malaysia!
It's taken when everybody finished washing up and changed!:D
I CAUGHT NO FISHES throughout the 3 hours.
But my bait was eaten everytime i put it into the water!
I've got friends beside me who caught 10 fishes.
I WAS ANGRY, hahahaha. i used my rod and stirred the water before leaving.
HAHAHAHAH. XD
And we had this family matching ceremony.
At first, i admitted that i hated the arrangements cos my closer friends weren't with me :( :(
But the MakCik(mother) was niceeeeeeee :D
With LOGA LOGA from malaysia (:
They were like "Minyee climb up climb up!!" -.-
I think the monkeys were very well-fed.
People buy different kind of food sold there specially for the monkeys, and fed them.
Turned out all look black :P
Back at the kampong in the morning!
WOAH THE CHICKENS :(
Very noisy every morning hahahaha.
Thats our makcik sunning the clothes :D
Kampong style, they sun their clothes on strings and their strings are hung everywhere.
from plants to plants, from poles to poles, everything ;P
Thats our toys ;P
We also ride on bike and visit our friends in other houses ;P
Else, we ride around the neighbourhood, or ran out to buy chewygummmmms :P
This is my dear Janesssssa! :D
My closest friend throughout the trip :D
The sun there was super glaringgggggg.
The one at the extreme left with sky blue top is our Datin, which means, princess :D
Thats Adi! The malaysian contingent leader! :D
becos of the height difference.
He was the tallest there, and im the shortest ahahah!
He's been sharing quite a bit with me throughout the bus rides (:
doesn't it look like the mata ikan project of Sife SP? :D
Singapore contingent ftw "D
Oh yeah, i have to mention that they love jumpshots alot!
We took jumpshots everywhere we go!
From the first day to the last day AHAHAHA! :D
We had a very good jumpshot-taker ;P
Look at Khengleng! ROFL!
Left to right: myself, Liyi, Huihui, Janessa, Kartini, Khenglengggggg ;D
Somehow i see this picture, it reminds me of our project for new media :X
Real blood twins :D
Liyi& Liying.
Look at my tired face HAHAHA!
he was saying, minyee you cannot jump higher than me.
SO, i did this HAHAHAHAH! :P
After a longggggggggg day,
Back to the kampong!
Helped to cook the agar-agar with kak kak :D
Its damn niceeeeeeeeeeeee, it's mango flavoured :D
I actually forgot her name :/
Like the closer people in the house, :D
Okay next post up soooon hopefully :P HAHAHA.

Back to top, XOXO.
